Synopsis

Orthodontics has changed greatly over the last several years. One of the biggest changes is the move towards evidence-based treatment. The first presentation will discuss time-tested principles of orthodontic treatment timing, identify various orthodontic problems, when they should be addressed, and how they can be corrected.

There have been a number of new technologies and techniques to aid orthodontists in the correction of malocclusions and patient management. A series of presentations will discuss some of these advances and describe how they have influenced the practice of orthodontics.

Invisalign: Since its release in the late 90s, Invisalign has been one of the most misunderstood appliances in orthodontics. The problem lies in that it is viewed as a product, rather than as a technique. This presentation will discuss the Invisalign technique from A-Z and provide pearls that can be implemented into clinical practice.
