Membership Information
The NPDA. was established in 1945 and is a component society of the Ontario Dental Association. The Ontario Dental Association, or ODA., is the voluntary professional organization which represents the dentists of Ontario, supports them in the provision of exemplary oral health services, and promotes the attainment of optimal health for the people of Ontario. All members of the NPDA, a component society of the ODA, must be registered members in good standing of the ODA.
The NPDA shall at all times comply with the By-Laws of the ODA., but has the power to provide for its additional financial support and to establish By-Laws, rules and regulations to govern its own members, provided they do not conflict with those of the ODA.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE NPDA?
NPDA yearly membership fee is based on category of membership. The NPDA only accepts online payments for renewal or new membership registration. No mail-in registration forms or cheques are accepted. Registration is online by credit card only. HST will be applied to All membership fees.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE YEARLY NPDA MEMBERSHIP
- A minimum of 4 full days of clinical and practice management CE topics
- A minimum of 2 evening business meeting
- Food and beverages for all meetings
- Up to 6 CE Points for each meeting in the corresponding Category
- A total of up to 30 CE Points per year
- A minimum of 6 CE points per year for a Category 1.
WHAT IF I ONLY WANT TO ATTEND ONE LECTURE AND NOT BECOME A MEMBER?
Yes, there is a one-day option available. The only registration option available for non-NPDA members or auxiliaries is to register for individual meetings/lectures. If you do wish to attend you must register and pay the corresponding fee for the lecture online prior to the meeting. You must be present for the entire meeting in order for you to be eligible to earn CE points for that day.
Non-NPDA members wishing to attend a meeting are welcome to do so at the following rates. HST will be applied to All meeting fees.

WILL I OBTAIN VERIFICATION FOR MY ATTENDANCE AT LECTURES
In order to verify attendance, all attendees must check-in at the registration desk upon arrival when entering the lecture room. A 15 minute grace period after the start of the first AM and PM sessions will be in effect. If you arrive after the 15 minute grace period, you may not be eligible to earn CE points for the AM or PM portion of the lecture session.
Badges and handout package are available for pick up upon arrival at the meeting at the registration desk. Attendees are encouraged wear their badge. Speaker resources/slides will be made available to attendees after the event via an email link. Please note that not all speakers provide a copy of their slides and/or additional resources.
Please note that you must attend the full day in its entirety (morning and afternoon) to claim the full day CE points. Attendees may be able to claim CE points for attending half day of the lecture depending if the lectures are AM and PM sessions. Please contact the NPDA secretary at secretary@npda.ca to verify.
Your CE Certificate of Attendance record will be emailed to you after the lecture based on your attendance. In order to verify your attendance, all attendees must have checked in at the registration desk upon arrival. You must have attended the full day in its entirety (morning and afternoon) to claim CE points.
It is the responsibility of each member dentist to maintain his or her own continuing education records and report their CE activity to the RCDSO.
